ANDRE PETTIPAS
There is only one word that comes to mind when you see Andre on stage… showman. Musical talent
aside this young man has presence that is reminiscent of a young Brian Setzer, working the stage and
the room with an irresistible charisma. It’s not all theatrics with these boys though, they do have the
musical chops to go with it.

Known for his hooks, energetic live performances and fronting ‘Grease Coast Rock N’ Roll’ band, Andre Pettipas and The Giants. His solo work is extremely versatile; like a musical chameleon he is able to adjust to his surroundings to accommodate the vibe.
After winning 2017’s Q104 Homegrown Challenge which helped fund their industry demo, Andre Pettipas and The Giants showcased at numerous industry shindigs, including Canadian Music Week in Toronto and the 2018 Live at Heart festival in Sweden, and toured relentlessly.
Along the way, they’ve gained a reputation as an incredibly tight live act, and as a band that routinely crank out the kind of eminently hooky, sing a long, anthems that stick in your mind and just won’t let go – a reputation that not only got producer Brian Moncarz’s (Alice Cooper, Our Lady Peace) attention but drew a variety of talented and enthusiastic musical guests to the table on their ECMA and NSMW Rock Album of The Year nominated sophomore effort, ‘No Fools, No Fun.'
His band released a double live album in spring 2022 that was recorded at the legendary El Mocambo in Toronto during back-to-back nights in September 2021.
Andre Pettipas and The Giants are currently promoting their third studio album, “Under Control;" released summer of 2023 recorded at The Tragically Hip's studio, The Bathouse during summer of 2022. It was recently nominated for ECMA Rock Recording Of The Year.
’23 was a busy campaign as AP and The Giants also produced their own festival, “Giantstock” on labour day weekend and toured Cross-Canada twice (June and September) in support of the latest release. As a full-time musician, Andre had a gig count of 139 to end the year.
